AUTOMOBILE SHIPPING RATES
Below are the rates posted by both Matson Ocean Lines and Pasha Hawaii Transport for shipping vehicles to the four major islands in Hawaii. Premier Van Lines does not mark up the ocean charges to ship your vehicle. We can pre-book your car with both Matson and Pasha Hawaii. We will process the paperwork and make payment to the ocean lines on your behalf. The rates listed by the two ocean carriers are port to port rates. The rates are from their websites. Customers are required to pick up their vehicles directly from Matson or Pasha in Hawaii.
Premier Van Lines also provides vehicle shipping from all points in the US to the ports in California and Seattle. Rates are listed below the ocean rates.

(These rates do not apply to any vehicle exceeding 21'8" L x 8' W x 7' H, (for Seattle please see specific qualifying dimensions below) or vehicles which have built-in accommodations for cooking or sleeping. Rates are to Honolulu, Lihue, Hilo and Kahului, all other islands require special quotes. Inland island delivery is an additional charge.

Their base price listed on their website is $1072.00 for normal size vehicles that are smaller that 21'8' L x 8' W x 7' H. The invasive species fee is also based on 50 cents per 1000 lbs. These rates are to port only. Ports are as follows: Oahu is Honolulu, Maui is Kahului, Hawaii is Hilo and Kauai is Nawiliwili. All smaller islands require special quotes. Inland deliveries are an additional charge.
Domestic Auto Transportation Rates:
The following are rates to transport standard cars from Mainland US origin cities to San Diego, Los Angeles, Oakland or Seattle, depending on the port used to ship your vehicle to Hawaii. These rates do no include the ocean charges that are listed above. The rates are based on the miles from the pick up point to the actual port city on the west coast using PC Miler Practical Miles.
There is a fuel surcharge added to the rate based on the actual date of pick up of the car. Currently the fuel surcharge is 3%. The surcharge is changed on the 15th of each month based on the Dept. of Energy average fuel price posted on the 1st of each month.
If you have any questions about the fuel surcharge, call one of Hawaii Move Coordinators to get the answers you need. it is important to remember that the fuel surcharge will be based on the actual pick up date of the vehicle.
There is also an over-sized vehicle charge for Pickups, SUV's, Minivans or any vehicle listed in the NADA Official Used Car Guide Light Duty Truck Section. The over-sized vehicle fee is $300.00 flat. The reason for this additional charge is due to the extra weight and size of these vehicles.
